Project Description:

This project was completed at Gumil Campground, in the northeastern reaches of the Judburra (Gregory) National Park. The Matt Wilson Lookouts project was designed to enhance visitor experience at the site, which offers spectacular views of the Victoria River escarpment country.

Works included construction of two lookout areas, complete with handrail, concrete slab with slate stone and customised slate stone seating. Some additional fencing works were also completed for further benefit visitor safety.

This project was part of a broader plan by the Northern Territory Government to deliver tourism industry development works within the Big Rivers Region. It was a privilege to attend to grand opening of the campground and lookouts in July 2024.
